An array of industry-first features reduced environmental impact and maintenance costs in new Logistex Case Conveyor Solutions from FKI Logistex
Key Facts:
• Combines many innovative features with proven technology and designs
• New energy-efficient elements reduce environmental impact
• Industry-first maintenance-reducing features
o Patent-pending system allows transfer band replacement in seconds rather than minutes
o Circa 60% reduction in moving parts
o Automatic belt tracking
o Diverters that are 43% faster
o 87% reduction in sound power level on diverters
• New Control System eliminates installation tools and reduces wiring
FKI Logistex® - a global leader in integrated material handling systems - announces its new modular Logistex Case Conveyor Solutions which combines industry-first features designed to reduce its environmental impact and maintenance costs to ultra-low levels.
Among the innovations which cut the environmental impact of the system is the Logistex NB200 Narrow-Belt Driven Roller Conveyor which reduces the drive as product accumulates, rather than braking, to minimise energy consumption. New controls managing the already energy-efficient motors in the Logistex MR200 Motorised Roller Conveyor also add to the system’s efficiency by using selective power-up which can achieve energy savings of up to 67% compared with previous product *
New features also set benchmarks for ultra-low maintenance and installation costs. The Logistex RT200 Right-Angle Transfer System features a patent-pending band cartridge system which allows technicians to replace a damaged band in seconds instead of minutes. Automatic belt-tracking on the Logistex NB200 Narrow-Belt Driven Roller Conveyor eliminates the need for manual adjustment, whilst hollow-shaft gearbox drives eliminate chains and their associated

grease and oils. The Logistex DV200 Diverter also introduces an innovative lift-and-turn wheel assembly which comprises of just two easy-to-replace moving parts manufactured in self-lubricating materials. The new design offers maintenance times that are reduced by 60% compared to its predecessors. At its highest speeds of 120 metres per minute, the Logistex DV200 Diverter is 43% faster than its predecessor and 87% quieter in its sound power level.
Installation and training costs have been cut with the Logistex ZC200 Zone Control system, which requires no tools for installation, minimal wiring and provides enhanced functionality including flexible operational modes and pre-programmed functions to simplify operational training and speed up project implementation.
“Individually, each of the features introduced by the new Logistex Case Conveyor Solutions offer significant reductions in energy and maintenance costs. Together, they create an unprecedented opportunity for customers to reduce their environmental impact and their maintenance costs,” commented Jerry Woodhouse, Managing Director, FKI Logistex Europe.
The Logistex Case Conveyor Solutions combine modular belt, motorised roller, narrow-belt driven, chain and pad driven and V-belt driven conveyor systems with zone control, diverter and right-angle transfer modules to create a market leading, energy- and maintenance-efficient product range for a variety of applications.
*Example based on conveyor handling 10 cases per minute.
